Princesses Analyzing Part 2

The following three princesses will be much different from the former three. Let’s take a look!
p.s. I only discuss them in the Disney versions, which the stories are milder and have perfect endings.
Princess Jasmine from Aladdin

Jasmine has strong characteristic, we can see that from her pet—a tiger. She doesn’t like to be confided in the palace and escaped from home once. She even falls in love with a beggar in the market place! Her rebellious nature made her a very unique princess.

Ariel from The Little Mermaid

Ariel is the daughter of the king of mermaids. She has the most beautiful appearance and voice among the seven sisters. However, she doesn’t like her life, and tries to be a human. Although she falls in love with Prince Eric at the first sight, it’s still remarkable that she can give up her family, her identity as a mermaid (a mermaid PRINCESS!), everything, for him. If only they don't get divorce, or Ariel would kill Eric--I mean, if I were her, I will.

Belle from Beauty and the Beast

Belle is the most beautiful, yet the most peculiar girl in town because she loves reading books. Her father is an inventor who invents strange machines and is often the laugh stock of the town’s people. The reason Belle goes into the castle of the Beast is to save her father. She did not fall in love with the beast at first, of course; but she gradually find out the cuteness and kindness of him. Finally, she says the magical words—“I love you”—and so save the cursed prince and all his servants.

To sum up, Disney is making progress in designing the characteristics of the princesses. They each became much more special, unique, and stronger too! If you ask me which character I like most, I would have to say, Jasmine rocks! She runs from her home, loves a thief and DOESN’T WANT TO BE A PRINCESS! Isn’t she the coolest princess ever? Besides, she is hot.=D
How about you?

Yap, he is. I associate the Eric in our class and the one who married Ariel, and I can almost see... Ariel suffers from domestic abuse.

    Just kidding XD

  6. hahaha, that whole "Eric" discussion was hilarious. i almost laughed my tears out.

well, id say i like Belle the most. i am more like the type of person who sees the inner beauty of someone. i am not saying that the appearance is not important, but good-looking is just sth pointless when there's only emptiness inside, right?

Actually I did have a hard time choosing my favorite one between Belle and Jasmine. Belle is a brave and intelligent girl, and yes, she can see the inner beauty of a person. You're right, appearance isn't everything. I believe no one will love an idiot even though he is handsome!
Thank you for visiting and the great comment!
